Is XILLION Group UAE legit? How to check us, and any consultant, before you pay

How to check XILLION Group UAE and any UAE business setup consultant: licence, payment account, written quote, references and what we do not do.

By Imran Mirza, Founder & CEO, Xillion Group UAE. Born and raised in the UAE, with 18+ years of professional working experience, including nearly seven years at Barclays and ADCB and 12 years in UAE business setup. Last reviewed 1 November 2026.

Short answer

Check four things before paying any UAE business setup consultant: the trade licence and its issuing authority, that you pay the licensed company and not a person, a written itemised quote, and what the firm will not promise. XILLION publishes each of these below, so you can verify them yourself.

Xillion Group UAE is a consultancy. It is not a licensing authority, a bank, a law firm, a tax adviser or an audit firm, and approvals are decided by the relevant authority. Regulated services such as tax, audit, legal drafting, VARA licensing and immigration filings are coordinated through licensed external partners. This page is general information, not legal, tax or investment advice, and nothing here is a guarantee.

The licence states that the approval of the relevant authorities must be obtained before regulated activities are carried out. XILLION does not hold licences for audit, tax, legal, VARA, banking or property brokerage work. Those services are coordinated through licensed external partners.

How to verify. The licence is an electronic document issued under the Meydan Free Zone regulations and carries a verification QR code. Verification is on request: email info@xillion.ae or message us on WhatsApp and we will send the licence so you can scan the QR code. You can also ask Meydan Free Zone to confirm the details through its official site, meydanfz.ae.

Who is behind it

XILLION Group UAE is led by Imran Mirza. Born and raised in the UAE, with 18+ years of professional working experience, including nearly seven years at Barclays and ADCB and 12 years in UAE business setup. The bank roles were with business clients and account opening, not compliance.

Guide

Seven checks to run on any UAE business setup consultant

  1. Ask for the trade licence. It should show a licence number, the issuing authority and a valid expiry date. Match the legal name to the name on the invoice.
  2. Pay the company, not a person. Payment should go to a bank account in the licensed company's name, or to the authority's own payment channel.
  3. Get an itemised written quote. Government fees and service fees should be separate lines, with the refund terms in writing.
  4. Ask what is not included. Bank account approval, visa approval and tax outcomes belong to the authorities and banks, not to a consultant.
  5. Check who does regulated work. Tax filing, audit, legal drafting and VARA licensing need licensed professionals. Ask for the partner's name and licence.
  6. Ask for references and read reviews with care. Independent reviews are the strongest signal. Be wary of firms that quote company or client counts you cannot check.
  7. Look at the person. A named founder with a verifiable career is easier to hold to account than a brand with no face.

What XILLION does and does not do

  • We advise on the structure, prepare the application and coordinate with the free zone, the bank and the authorities.
  • We do not guarantee bank account approval, visa approval or any tax outcome.
  • We are not a government authority, a bank, a law firm or an audit firm.
  • We do not claim a partnership with any free zone unless a signed agreement exists and is shown on request.
